The first seminar with the title “Bunker Pricing: the pricing mechanisms & how to achieve the lowest levels without compromising quality” highlighted the main factors that influence bunker pricing, and offered tips and advice on how to make the right decisions, in the right time, despite the growing uncertainty in the field. The seminar was organized and presented by Ms Irene Notias, Managing Director of PRIME MANAGEMENT SERVICES, Agents of Prime Petroleum Services, with years of experience in the sector. Mr. Alexandros Kyriazis, Bunker Trader at supplier, AEGEAN MARINE PETROLEUM contributed to the presentation and offered his expert view on the subject. The presentation was followed by Q&A with the active participation of the audience.

The second seminar with the title “CONNECT H.E.R.: Sustaining the Excellence in our Shipping Companies” presented Prime Management Services’ new Initiative: CONNECT Human Energy Resources (H.E.R.) – the specialist provider of recruitment & HR outsourcing services for the Shipping Industry in Greece. CONNECT aims at adding significant value to the shipping industry by safeguarding quality and sustaining the high standards of Shipping. The seminar was presented by Ms Efharis Perpinia, CoDirector of CONNECT H.E.R., an expert in the HR field with experience both in Greece and internationally. Ms Perpinia and Ms Notias invited the audience to join CONNECT H.E.R. and be part of the change offering various options. The audience welcomed the new idea, emphasizing on the difficulties they have experienced when recruiting for various posts in the shipping industry and their concern for the brain-drain phenomenon in our country.

Both seminars took place on Friday, June 6, at the Metropolitan Expo and were attended by over 50 professionals in the shipping industry, consisting of Ship-owners, Bunker-Traders and Suppliers. On the occasion of the seminars a short reception was offered by the hosts.
