"In recognition of his services": Pericles G. Callimanopulos receiving a commemorative gold medal from the Trieste Chamber
of Commerce and Industry, as seen in a photograph published in the 1 June 1971 issue of Naftika Chronika. Pericles G. Callima-
nopulos played a big part in the growth of the port of Trieste by establishing a monthly Hellenic Lines route from South and
East African ports to the Italian harbour.
