On 1 February 2024, the European Commission’s European Climate, Infrastructure and
Environment Executive Agency (DG CLIMA / CINEA) and the European Community Shipowners’
Associations (ECSA) held an Innovation Fund Info Day on ship financing from the
Innovation Fund (IF). During this most interesting event, there was a discussion about
the applications of programmes for funding from the 1.2-billion-euro package of the
European Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) revenues earmarked for the decarbonisation
of shipping.
