The shipping industry continues to traverse the rough waters of decarbonisation
in an attempt to choose the right pathway to a greener future. With a multitude
of alternative fuels and promising technologies emerging, the industry is left
with the challenge of assessing the viability of each proposed solution.
The choices that need to be made do not rest solely on a fuel’s or a technology’s
potential to drastically reduce carbon emissions but also on the capacity of said
fuel or technology to be rapidly developed and deployed.
In the following pages, Naftika Chronika presents the most significant findings
