Seagull is now launching its new, comprehensive ship security training package that is in full compliance with the Manila amendments to the STCW Convention and Code.
Seagulls Ship Security Package has been approved by Norwegian Maritime Authority (NMA) and Liberia, accepted by Bahamas and Malta, recognized by Cyprus, and certificated by DNV SeaSkill.
The revised STCW, which came into force in January this year, introduces more stringent requirements for onboard security training, with particular provisions designed to ensure seafarers are properly trained in case their ship comes under attack by pirates.
